Who is the Chief Security Officer in your family?

I don't know about you, but for me things are always easier to get done when tasks are shared and there is mutual accountability among my family members. Who really wants to think about cleaning out the vehicles or washing down all windows in the house after a long work week? However, we all know it needs to be done. The same is true for online security measures, but the list of things to do can often seem overwhelming.

For inconvenient and undesirable tasks, my family uses mostly checklists and we try to spread out tasks over a certain time frame so it doesn't feel overwhelming having to do it all at once. For us, this has been the most practical and realistic approach to getting online security tasks done. Luckily, the National Cyber Security Alliance has provided us with a Family Digital Chores Checklist that will help you get all critical tasks done on a regular basis. While the checklists helps split tasks evenly among all family members, it often takes one person to motivate and follow up to make sure that everything gets done - will you be the Chief Security Officer in your family?
